Pamela Kay
Martin (Miller)
Aug 20, 1947 — Aug 3, 2026
MARTIN (Miller), Pamela Kay passed away August 3, 2026, in Spartanburg, SC at the age of 78. She was born in 1947 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Benjamin H. Miller and Betty Marie Pierce. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1969 with a BS in Mathematics.
She then had a career with the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. She devoted nearly four decades to advancing Air Force logistics, software engineering, and information systems, serving as a respected civilian professional, defense‑industry leader and small‑business owner. Her career spanned roles from early mainframe support at Wright‑Patterson AFB to senior systems analysis, simulation modeling, and ultimately large‑scale process improvement and enterprise‑system deployment for Headquarters Air Force. She led contractor teams, supported emerging weapons‑system analysis, and built a successful consulting firm that delivered complex modeling tools across multiple platforms.
She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association for 30 years serving as National District IV Vice President, 1995-1996 and a Top Ten Business Woman of the Year in 1997.
Pamela loved her family, planned family reunions with her cousins, had a great interest in genealogy and made many discoveries about her ancestry. She was very active with the ABWA and made friends from all parts of the country. She loved to travel with her family and later with her husband and visited all of the U.S. States. She and her husband spent their vacations visiting the national parks, taking cruises and spending the winter in Florida.
She is survived by her husband David (Dave) Martin of Spartanburg, SC; sister Carol Grace Miller Jutte (Jack deceased) of Fort Recovery, Ohio; brothers Jerry Wayne Miller (Wanda deceased) of Brookville, Ohio, Jack Alan Miller (deceased) (Kathy) and James Richard Miller (Frances) of Grand Prairie, Texas and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff at the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Hospice and the Summit Hills skilled nursing in Spartanburg, SC for the support, compassion and care they provided to Pamela and her family.
A private family burial and gathering will be held later in Jeffersonville, Ohio.
