Omalee Golightly, 91, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, December 22, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born May 12, 1926 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis L. and Junie Lyda Ravan. She was the widow of William Grover Golightly. Omalee was a graduate of Cecil's Business College and retired after woking with Dr. Gary Smiley for 40 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg for over 30 years and was a former Sunday School pre-school Teacher. She loved her Lord, her family, and many friends. She was the sweetest, kindest, lovingest person to all. Survivors include a niece, Debra Goins (Rusty); brother-in-law, E.W. Sprouse; great nephews, Damon Ray Goins, Gabriel Goins, Daniel Goins; and a great niece, Cece Goins. Along with her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by siblings, Paul Ravan, James Ravan, Alvin Ravan and Ina R. Sprouse. Visitation will be 12:45 - 1:45 PM Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 PM at the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Robert C. Morgan and Dr. Gary Smiley. The Committal service will also be in the chapel.
