Olive Price

October 4, 1929 — March 6, 2022

Olive L. Price, 92, of Gaffney, SC passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022. Born in Converse, SC, she was the daughter of the late Albert Devine and Lola Whitt Linder, and second mother, Eunice Childers Linder, and was the wife of the late Kenneth “Mack” Price.

Olive graduated from Cowpens High School, Cecil’s Business College and Piedmont Beauty College. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include children, Melinda “Linda” Tant (Milton) of Spartanburg, SC, Roy Price (Robin) of Gaffney, SC, and Danny Price (Karen) of Gaffney, SC; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Alpha Hughes of Cowpens, SC, Gail Fowler of Spartanburg, SC, and Jean Brown of Spartanburg, SC; and her brother, Jack Linder (Carolyn) of Spartanburg, SC. She was also predeceased by her son, Charlie Price, four sisters, three brothers and one great grandson, Brandon Price.

A graveside service will be at 4:00 PM Thursday, March 10, 2022 in White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery, 218 Soapstone Road, Gaffney, SC 29340. Visitation will follow at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Home Hospice, P.O. Box 2624, Spartanburg, SC 29304 or to a charity of one’s choice.

The family would like thank Spartanburg Regional Hospice for their compassionate care.
