Norma Jean Champion Attaway

Norma Champion Attaway, 68, went home to Jesus on her birthday, Friday March 29, 2024, at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, SC.  She was the daughter of the late Martin Robert Champion and Odessa Watson Champion. She was of the Baptist faith.  

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Margaret H. Champion, as well as her nieces, Teresa C. Brown, Lisa C. Fowler, April C. Green, Tiffany Ruff, and nephews, Eddie Champion, Ricky Champion, Chris Champion, Yates Ruff Jr. and Mark Ruff and a number of great nieces and nephews. 

She is pre-deceased by all her siblings:  sister, Nadine C. Ruff; brothers, Edward Champion, Glenn Champion, Wayne Champion and infant brother, Douglas Champion.  

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Cemetery, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. 

A special thank you to Teresa and Robert Brown, Jr., for caring for Norma the last years of her life, along with Rae Polin, the staff of Agape House , and the faculty at Upstate Community Hospice House.
