Nina Violet Dustin, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother, passed away on August 14, 2025, in Greenville, South Carolina, at the age of 94. Born on March 23, 1931, in Foster, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Virgil Harless and Vernia Dolin Harless.
Nina was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a woman of deep faith, her life was a testament to her Godly spirit. She had an extraordinary ability to see the best in everyone she encountered, creating connections that left a lasting impression on those blessed enough to know her. Her love for her family knew no bounds, as she often put their needs above her own; Nina lived a life rich in love, compassion, and dedication to her family. She retired from Inman Mills in 1996 after 19 years of service, later finding fulfillment in her work as a caregiver at the Charles Lea Center. Her hobbies included sewing, a passion that allowed her to pour her love into quilts that warmed not only homes but also hearts. She spent countless hours quilting for family and friends, ensuring they were always wrapped in affection.
Nina leaves behind a legacy through her devoted children: Sissy Camp, Denise Timmons, Evelyn (Danny) Harrell, Donna (David) McDowell, Paul (Lynn) Dustin, and Michelle (Hunter) Johnson. The light of her life continued to shine through her 33 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Nina is predeceased by her sons, Frank, Raymond, and Leon; her daughter, Libby; along with four sisters and three brothers.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM, Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Floyds Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N., Boiling Springs, SC, 29316. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, August 19, 2025 in the chapel. She will be laid to rest at Good Shepherd Memorial Park. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Nick Vance of Grace Baptist Church in Landrum.
