Obituary

Nancy Marie Pace, 67, peacefully departed this life on January 30, 2026, at her home in Pacolet, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 9, 1958, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Frances Thornton Brown and stepfather, Paul Brown, Jr.

As a proud member of the last graduating class of Pacolet High School, Nancy cherished her educational experiences and maintained a close-knit relationship with her community throughout her life. She attended Pacolet United Methodist Church, where she formed lasting friendships and found support. A devoted manager for Denny's Restaurant for many years, Nancy was known for her dedication.

Nancy was a loving wife to her husband of 30 years, James Robert "Robby" Pace, and a caring mother to her daughter, Nancy Jane Riley. She shared a special bond with her brother, who will truly miss her. Nancy's family was her world, and she poured her heart into taking care of them, creating an environment filled with love and laughter.

Outside of her family life, Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures, such as spending time on the porch with friends, sharing neighborly stories. She also had a passion for travel, including memorable trips to Cancun, Mexico, where she loved relaxing on the beach, as well as other beautiful coastal spots.

Nancy is survived by her husband, James Robert "Robby" Pace; her daughter, Nancy Jane Riley; and her brother, Steven Brown, along with his wife, Annette.

A visitation honoring Nancy will be held from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr, Pacolet, SC 29372. Following the visitation, a memorial service will begin at 3:00 PM, in the chapel. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Tommy Sparks.

Nancy Marie Pace will be deeply missed by all who knew her and will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to family, and the cherished memories she leaves behind.

Services are entrusted to Floyd's Pacolet Chapel.
