Moss Hayes Jr.

Moss Edward Hayes, Jr., 86, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 21, 1931 in Pacolet, SC, he was the son of the late Moss Edward Hayes Sr. and Jesse Johnson Hayes. Mr. Hayes was a U.S. Army Veteran and was retired from the Glidden Paint Company and worked for Spartan Grain Company. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Martha Greenway Hayes; son, Alan Hayes (Diane) of Atlanta, GA; stepsons, Kevin Gibbs (Sandy) of Inman, SC; Eddie Gibbs of Boiling Springs, SC; and Tim Gibbs (Carol) of Inman, SC; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Betty H. Rice (Buddy) of Spartanburg, SC. Visitation will be 10:00 - 10:45 AM Monday, July 16, 2018 at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy. 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM in the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Ronnie Norris. Burial with military honors will follow in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Hwy. 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
