Monroe "Buddy" Allen Pye

Monroe “Buddy” Allen Pye, 83, of Spartanburg passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice home with his family by his side.

Buddy was born in Spartanburg the son of the late Albert Pye and the late Thelma Louise Rainwater Pye. He was also predeceased by ten of his siblings.

Monroe was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He served his country with honors in the United States Navy. He then had a successful career as a plumber. Monroe was of the Baptist faith.

Monroe is survived by his loving wife of 62 years: Sandra Pye; his three children: Rhonda Joyce Pye Sexton, Randall Allen Pye, and Kathy Lynn Haddon; three grandchildren: Christopher William Sexton, Sherrie Lynn Ponder (Chad), and Britnee Nicole Haddon; four great grandchildren: Laila Nicole Anderson, Logan Michael Ponder, Nicholas Chad Ponder, Amahdi Kahlia Anderson, and sister, Eulala Wright.

A memorial service to honor Monroe's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. 2075 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Service wil be conducted by Michael Chad Ponder. The family will greet friends following the service.

Monroe’s Family will cherish his memories for years to come.
