Michael 'Mike" Everette Gwinn

Michael “Mike” Everette Gwinn, 64, of Union, South Carolina, passed away at his residence on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Mike, as he was affectionately known, was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina and spent most of his childhood in Beaumont, South Carolina. He was the son of Rose Marie Deal Gwinn and the late Grover Everette Gwinn. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Jamie Gwinn; and a sister: Janice Ogle-Gaffney.Mike was a certified welder and computer numerical control machinist. He worked most of his career with Owens Corning. He was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and Spartanburg Technical College. He enjoyed working and helping others on his time off. He was a good provider and loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.Left to cherish Mike’s many memories are his two daughters: Ashley and Kelli Gwinn; six wonderful grandchildren: Brianna, Madi, Trystan, Hayden, Emma, Khloe. Three special friends that Mike loved dearly also survive: Tim, Sharon, and Johnny.A celebration of life service to honor Mike’s life will be held at a later time.Mike’s memories will continue to live in the hearts of everyone that knew and loved him.The arrangements are trusted to the care of Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel.
