Michael Blanton

Michael Loran Blanton, 71, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born June 23, 1950 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Joseph Herbert and Betty Brotherton Blanton and was the husband of the late Deborah Anderson Blanton for 44 years.

Michael was an insurance salesman. He belonged to “the body of Christ.”

Survivors include his sons, Justin Blanton (Amy) of Inman, SC, and Jody Blanton (Jordan) of Southeast Asia; his daughter in law, Maggie Blanton of Athens, GA; grandchildren, Cadence Blanton, Shiloh Blanton and Eleanor Blanton; his siblings, Joey Blanton (Alice), Gregg Blanton (Ana), and Marilyn Lane (Jeff), all of North Carolina. He was predeceased by a son, Jarad Blanton.

Visitation will be 3:00 - 3:45 pm Friday, April 22, 2022 at Summit Church - Spartanburg Campus, 622 Alamo Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303. A Memorial service will be at 4:00 pm at the church.
