Matthew "Matt" Allan Combatti

Matthew “Matt” Allan Combatti, a very loving young man, entered eternal rest at the age of forty-two on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Matt was born in Rutland, Vermont and graduated from Rutland High School with honors. He furthered his education by obtaining two master’s degrees, one from the University of Vermont and the other from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He was an assistant manager with Walmart Neighborhood Market.

Matt was a very intelligent man that spoke six different languages. He was also very musical inclined and could play five different instruments. He also had a great love for cats and had rescued many over the years. He had a love for life and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him.

Left to cherish his many memories are his mother: Debra “Debbie” Combatti Fredette; one aunt: Susie Potter; an uncle: Bill Miglis; and two cousins: James and Michael Potter.

A Celebration of Life service to honor Matt’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 2:30 PM. You are cordially invited to join the family celebrating a life well lived.
