Mary Lee Waldrop, peacefully passed away on September 11, 2023, at the age of 89 in Campobello, SC. She was born on December 21, 1933, in Cowpens, SC to her loving parents, the late Olie H. Watkins and Laura Amanda Claxton Watkins.

Mary was a shining example of faith, love, and devotion throughout her long and meaningful life. Her unwavering commitment to her religious beliefs was the cornerstone of her character.  She found solace, strength, and purpose in her faith, and it guided her every action and decision.

Beyond her religious devotion, Mary was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished her family above all else, imparting not only her faith but also her wisdom, kindness and support to the generations that followed her. Mary was a long-time employee of Garner's Natural Food in Spartanburg...she dearly loved her customers and co-workers.

Mary is survived by her children, Steve Waldrop, Debbie Polidori (Louie Alatorre), Jenny Long (Joe), Robin Brannon (David), Roger Waldrop (Mary), and Jeff Waldrop (Susannah); 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild who will forever cherish her memory. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Herbert J. Waldrop, and one grandchild.

A private graveside service will be held on September 13, 2023.

In these moments of grief, let us also celebrate the beautiful life Mary lived. She has moved on to be with her Lord, leaving behind a remarkable example of faith and unconditional love. May her soul find eternal peace.
