Mary Frances DuBeau, 89, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born May 8, 1920, in Union, SC, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Gilbert Gregory and the wife of 51 years to the late Michael H. DuBeau. She was a retired insurance adjuster with Metropolitan Life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg where she was a member and former President of the Maranatha Sunday School Class, former President of the Young at Heart and a member of the Young at Heart Choir, and for 34 years the head cashier for Wednesday night suppers. Survivors include two sons, Michael E. DuBeau and his wife Kathryn of Spartanburg, and James G. DuBeau of Arlington, VA; three granddaughters, Amy Wood and her husband Randy of Cochran, GA, Laura Sanchez and her husband Raul of Centreville, VA, and Margeaux DuBeau of Arlington, VA; and two great-granddaughters, River and Brooke Wood of Cochran, GA. She was predeceased by a son, Ernest W. DuBeau; and two sisters, Juanita Crow and Cornelia Staton. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2009, in the Parlor of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Davis Chapel at the Church conducted by the Rev. Sal Barone, the Rev. Robert C. Morgan, and the Rev. Bill Adams. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Honorary Escort will be members of the Maranatha Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 250 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. The family is at the home of her son, Mike DuBeau, 1155 Partridge Road, Spartanburg.
