Mary Case

Mary Joanna Jones Case, 86, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, December 11, 2017, at RoseCrest Healthcare Center, Inman, SC. Born December 12, 1930, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late James Gilbert Jones and Annie Lorena Rhodes Jones and widow of Bennie Turner Case. A homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mrs. Case was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg, the Spartanburg Junior League, The Gay Blades Garden Club, and the Spartanburg Debutante Club. Surviving are her children, Stanley Case (Martha) and Tom Case (Ginger); son-in-law, Alan Williams; seven grandchildren, Stephen Case, Sally Case, Ben Case, Kristin Case, Scott Case, Chris Williams, and Cari Williams; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Jennie Case Williams; sisters and brothers, Elizabeth Johnson, Gilbert Jones, Bill Jones, and Lillian Simmons. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2017, in the Parlor at First Presbyterian Church, 393 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29302. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Chapel at First Presbyterian Church, conducted by The Rev. Joanne Hull. Burial will be private.
