Mary Annette Wright, 85, of Pacolet, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born on April 5, 1941, in Aiken, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James Lightsey and Alice Gunter Lightsey.

Mary dedicated many years of her life to serving her community through her work at Lil Cricket Convenience Store, where she was known for her friendly smile, and genuine care for everyone she met. She was a faithful member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. She attended Spartanburg Methodist College and enjoyed spending time at the beach. Above all, she cherished her family and the time they shared together.

She is survived by her loving husband, Saul Daniel Wright, Sr.; her sisters, Marjory Campbell; her step-son, Daniel Wright; her grandchildren: Angelita Wright, Kristen Hamrick, and Thad Pearson; her great-grandchildren: Alyah Tessennar, Maya Tessennar, and Caden Tessennar; along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews: Randy Baber, Karen Annette Allison, Douglas Cambell, Scott Burley, Brenda Caldwell and Michael Harvey, and extended family members, and friends. She is preceded in death by her step-daughter, Shirley Renee Wright and sister, Alma Burley.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at The J.F. Floyd Mortuary – Pacolet Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel, officiated by Rev. Calvin Branch. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mobile Meals in memory of Mary Annette Wright.
