Martha Cynthia Turner

March 25, 1943 — March 7, 2024

Spartanburg

Martha Cynthia Turner, known affectionately as Cindy, passed away peacefully Thursday March 07, 2024 at her home after a long illness. She was born in Alexandria, Virginia March 25,1943 to the late Robert and Martha Griffin.

Cindy was an individual whose presence touched the lives of many as she made a career in clinical social working, her field was psychotherapy,  earning a Master's degree along the way. Her love for gardening, passion for reading, and compassion for all living creatures made her a truly special soul. Cindy's  proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her 41-year marriage to Jean. Their bond was a shining example of love and dedication, inspiring all who knew them.

Cindy leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and grace. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in knowing that her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Cindy  is survived by her beloved wife Jean Hedrick. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Griffin and mother Martha Walker Griffin. We rejoice that her soul is now at peace, knowing she was cherished beyond measure during her time on this earth.
