Marlene was born in San Bernardino, California, daughter of the late Avery B. Saint and the late Gladys Maud Ormerod Saint. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Harold Saint.
Marlene has been blessed with a 47-year marriage to Melvin (Mel) Bradley Newburn, a retired and beloved mailman for Biltmore Forest.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Also left to cherish Marlene’s memories are her son, two daughters, and two sons-in-law: Richard Dean Dunwoody, Robin and Joseph McMahon II, Jill and Ken Hazen, as well as her grandchildren: Tabitha Cobble, Joseph T. McMahon III, Richard M. McMahon, Sarah C. McMahon, and Jason D. Dennis. There are also four precious great-grandchildren.
