With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Margorie Ann Watson, who left this world peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025, from her home in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Born and raised in Clifton, South Carolina, Margie learned the value of family and friendship from a young age, dedicating her life to those she loved. She shared a devoted marriage with her late husband, Charles Edward Watson, and together they built a loving home. Margie was a nurturing mother to her two children, Kimberly Ann and the late Charles Edward Watson II. Throughout her career, she worked in various manufacturing jobs, eventually retiring from MEMC.
Margie had a remarkable ability to make everything around her flourish. She was a fantastic cook, whose kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of her delicious meals. Her green thumb was legendary, and she possessed a true talent for creating beautiful flower arrangements that brought joy to many. Margie also had a keen eye for treasures and loved the thrill of thrifting.
To her family, Margie was a pillar of quiet strength and resilience, never one to complain, yet always providing a caring and gentle presence when needed most. She had an infectious laugh that could brighten any room and cherished her phone calls and conversations with friends. As a dedicated wife, she always honored her husband, and her love and joy extended generously to all her children, grandchildren, and Great-Grandchildren. Indeed, she laughed till the very end, leaving a legacy of warmth and happiness.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Erwood; her four grandsons, Jonathan Stewart, Justin Stewart, Chase Watson, and Pearson Watson; and her five great-grandchildren, each of them carries a piece of her enduring spirit.
The family will be receiving friends and family, 11:00 AM, Monday, May 12, 2025, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The committal service to celebrate Margie's life, will follow at 12:00 PM, in the Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, with services conducted by The Rev. John Lee.
Margorie Ann Watson will be deeply missed, but her love, her laughter, and her gentle strength will be remembered and cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her
