Margaret Olivia Tucker Schoen, 79, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born June 26, 1936, in Washington DC, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Lillian E. Tucker. Margaret attended schools in Washington DC and graduated from James Madison University. She volunteered with many organizations, loved gardening, and was an avid tennis player. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Harry F. Schoen; daughter, Lindy Schoen of Atlanta, GA; son, Bill Schoen (Tracie) of Florence, SC; two grandchildren, Allison Hepfner (Craig) of Elgin, SC and William Schoen, Jr. (Brittany) of Lexington, SC; one great-granddaughter, Amelia Evelyn Hepfner "Emmy"; a sister, Carolyn E. Tucker of Las Vegas, NV; and a brother, Thomas E. Tucker of Melbourne, FL. She is predeceased by a brother, Harry J. Tucker, Jr.; and her beloved Labrador Retriever, Fagan. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, April 29, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Private burial will be followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 309 Fernwood Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Dale Rawlings and the Rev. Charles H. Horne. A reception will follow the services at Gerhard's Cafe, 1200 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303; or Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
