Margaret Derosa

December 5, 1926 — March 21, 2023

Margaret Earline Mize DeRosa, 96, of Spartanburg, SC, died at her home. Born December 5, 1926 in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Mack Roy and Jesse Mae Liner Mize and the wife of the late John J. DeRosa.

Margaret was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Spartanburg where she was a member of Mary Alice Lanier Sunday School Class, past member of First Baptist WMU, Women’s Prayer and Bible Study Group, volunteer of the Helping Center, Mobile Meals, and a member of the Carolina Women’s Club.

Survivors include her daughters, Sheryl Bobo (Austin) of Anderson, SC and Jan Easler of Spartanburg, SC; her granddaughter, Ana Marie Easler. She was predeceased by her siblings, Roy Mize, Ralph Mize, Ruby Williams, Pauline Martin, Louise Smith and Shirley Ann Mize.

A private graveside service will be held.

The family would like to give a special thank you and appreciation to her caregivers, Minnie Whitmore, Lula Black, Deborah Twitty, Brenda Smith, Shirley Williams, Jenny Coleman, Judy Dover, Kandy Tisdale, and to The Interim Hospice Team.
