Lula Mae Tennyson

Lula Mae Revels Tennyson, 96, of Spartanburg, passed away on June 12, 2025, at her home. She was born in Clifton, SC on December 18, 1928, to the late James Mack Revels and Dora Mae Cash Revels. Lula Mae was a very compassionate Christian lady, known by many as "Ma".  She was a faithful member of 48 years at Casey Creek Baptist Church in Chesnee and a current member of Davis Memorial Baptist Church in Spartanburg.

She is survived by her loving husband of 77 years, Alfred Leon Tennyson; daughter, Shirley Nordine (Stanley); son, Larry Tennyson (Joyce); six grandchildren, Keith Tennyson, JoJo Bradley (Jamie), Jonathan Scruggs (LeAnn), David Lee Scruggs (Ashley), Kevin Nordine (Jenna), and Kerri Clayton (Kraig); thirteen, great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by five sisters and seven brothers.

Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. on Monday June 16, 2025, at the J.F. Floyd Mortuary Greenlawn Chapel with Pastor Garold Thomas and Jerry Vick officiating. Family will be meeting friends starting at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will be held following the service at Casey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery
