Lois Louise Nusz of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on September 13, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born in Clarksville, Arkansas, and lived in several states, including Vermont, before making her home in South Carolina.
Lois retired after many years as a dedicated staff tax accountant for Ravan and Holtzclaw, CPA , and Holcombe, Holtzclaw, and Ravan, LLC.
Beyond her career, Lois’s heart was filled with love for her family and their pets. She enjoyed watching sports, particularly as an avid South Carolina Gamecocks fan.
Lois was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Melvin R. Nusz, Jr. and Margaret J. Nusz, and her grandparents, Rufus P Bearden and Lois Bearden.
Lois leaves behind a loving family of four siblings and their spouses: Melvin R. Nusz III and Audrey Garvin, Paul M. Nusz and his cat Trouble, David R. Nusz and Lisa Nusz, and Toni Nusz Whitten and Mike Whitten.
Additionally, Lois was a devoted aunt, to eight nephews and nieces, and their spouses, and nine great-nephews and great-nieces: JC Garvin-Nusz, Anthony Paulo, Jayden Garvin-Nusz, Brad Garvin-Nusz, Matt Garvin-Nusz, Matt Garvin-Nusz Jr, Lindsay Nusz Peeler and Jason Peeler, Easton and Sadie Peeler, Anna Nusz Crowe and Brandon Crowe, Eli, Colton, and Bexley Crowe, Lydia Nusz Smith and Josh Smith, Kayla Whitten Dalton and Rhys Dalton, Emlyn Dalton, and Allison Whitten.
A private Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date, to remember and honor her life. Lois will be truly missed by her family.
