Lillie Love

Lillie Earlene Stapleton Neal Love, 94, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born October 5, 1928 in Cliffside, NC, she was the daughter of the late Christopher Columbus and Pearl Wolfe Stapleton.

Lillie was a seamstress at Hamrick’s. She was a member of Hammett Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Neal (Jane) and Tim Neal (Delores); six grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Walter C. Neal and her late husband, A. Fred Love.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 in Hammett Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 635 Hammett Grove Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Brian Humphries and The Rev. Dr. Chris Osborne.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity or to one’s own church.
