Lillie Mae Gosnell

Lillie Mae Gosnell, 85, of Spartanburg, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

Lillie Mae was born in Glendale, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Luther Grizzle and the late Eva Mae Wright Grizzle. For sixty-four years, she was a loving wife to her late husband: Cecil Preston Gosnell, Sr. She was also preceded in death by a son: Wayne Gosnell.

Lillie Mae was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church where for many years she served on the benevolence committee. She still loved to read her newspaper from front to back. She enjoyed cooking and watching her soap operas on television. She absolutely loved Diet Coke and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Left to cherish her many memories are her son; her two grandsons; one granddaughter; four great grandchildren.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Bethesda Baptist Church, 799 Bethesda Road, Spartanburg, SC 29302. You are cordially invited to join the family celebrating a life well lived.
