Lehman Wells Jr.

Lehman Dale Wells, Jr., 66, of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, July 2, 2022. Born April 19, 1956, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Mary Alice Foy Wells Childers and the late Lehman Dale Wells, Sr.

Dale was retired as a Residential Real Estate property owner and was a musician with the Mike Bullman Band, Trick Alley Band, Exit 38, and several gospel groups including The Trutones, The Graves Brothers, Liberty Boys, The Anchormen and The Singing Psalms.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Childers, sons, Robert Dean Wells (Stacy) and Lehman Todd Wells, all of Cowpens, SC, one granddaughter, Victoria Yother (Dylan), two great-grandchildren, Alaina Yother and Avery Yother, his sister, Heather Hopson of Alabama. He was predeceased by a brother, Terry Lavon Wells.

Visitation will be at 10:30 – 11:30 am, Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A funeral service will be 12:00 noon, at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Kenneth Cash and The Rev. Steven Price. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lehman Dale Wells Jr. Memorial Fund, P.O. Drawer 1530, Spartanburg, SC 29304.

The family is at the home of his mother on Peaceful Valley Road.
