Kieta Lanford

Kieta J. Lanford, 72, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center-Mary Black Campus. Born January 13, 1950 in Rutherfordton, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Dewitt and Helen Estell Williams Frady.

Kieta earned her bachelor’s degree from Western Carolina University and her master’s degree from Converse College. She was retired as a teacher after 22 years of service, then worked for J.C. Penney until she retired, again.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Tom Lanford of the home; her daughter, Leslie Hodge Stewart (Tim) of Pauline, SC; her son, Sean Michael Lanford of Spartanburg, SC; and granddaughter, Ava Stewart.
