Judy Splawn Revis, 77, departed this life peacefully on November 21, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on May 29, 1947, in Spartanburg, SC to the late, Vernon T. Splawn and Doshia G. Parks.
Judy became a telephone operator for a few years before working for BB&T in the accounting department, yet her deepest passion and most fulfilling career was her role as the church secretary. Her commitment to service also impacted the lives of many during her twelve years leading the youth group at Valley Falls Free Will Baptist Church alongside her husband, Melvin.
There are truly no words to describe Judy as she was the epitome of love, she embodied the essence of kindness and compassion, touching the hearts of everyone she encountered. A woman of profound faith, she embraced her family wholeheartedly. Judy was a pioneer for her family, introducing them to the joys of her faith through the church, a transformation that changed the course of their lives. Her ways and actions reflected a life lived in devotion, speaking volumes even in her final moments.
A beloved wife for sixty years, Judy is survived by her devoted husband, Melvin Revis of Boiling Springs. Their children: Keith Revis of Inman, Jill Brock (Michael) of Inman, Todd Revis (Lindsey) of Duncan, Dana Stanley (Robert) of Inman, Trina Mims (Michael) of Inman, and Gina Pearson (Tony) of Boiling Springs. Judy's love further extended through her 21 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren, and still multiplying. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Splawn of Riedville.
Although she is predeceased by her parents, her brother Tony Splawn, and two great-grandchildren, Sawyer Faye Stanley and Payton Raye Stanley, her influence remain ingrained in the hearts of her family and all those she has touched.
The family be at the home on Saturday, November 23, 2024 for friends and loved ones to pay their respects from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
