Johnny Lee Poston

Johnny Lee Poston, 76, husband of Mary Ann Poston, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Born in Greenville, SC, he was a son of the late Charles Luther and Thelma Yates Poston.

Johnny served in the United States Air Force. He retired after a 30-year career with the Parker District Fire Department. He was a member of the Tremont Church of God, Men and Women's Prayer Band, and the Sunshine Sunday School Class. He also enjoyed fishing and working on yard projects.

In addition to his loving wife of 39 years, he is survived by his son, Jonathan Poston (Rachel), grandchildren, Alivia, Sophia, Kiya, Cashlynn; Sister-in-law, Cindy Poston; Nephews, Charles Ronnie Poston Jr (Jaimee) Xylor Crosby and Colton Metcalf, Niece, Janet Lee Poston, and multiple cousins.

In addition to his parents, Johnny is predeceased in death by his brother, Charles Ronnie Poston Sr; uncles, James “Pee Wee” McCullough and Walt Yates, aunt Mary McCullough, and grandmother Maggie Yates.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:45 AM on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Tremont Church of God, 2854 New Easley Hwy, Greenville, SC 29611. A funeral service to honor Johnny’s life will follow.
