Joe Lee Sullivan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, peacefully passed away on July 2, 2025, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, at the age of 86. Born on November 13, 1938, in Pacolet, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Boyd Sullivan and Bonnie Whitlock Sullivan.

Joe proudly served in the U.S. Navy for seven years, a time that instilled in him a deep sense of duty and respect for his country. After his military service, he spent many years working for Milliken, from where he retired.

Known for his fun-loving spirit and quick wit, Joe had an infectious laugh that brought joy to everyone around him. He cherished his family deeply and created lasting memories for them; he always looked forward to enjoying a good fish fry with family and friends. Joe was an avid sports fan, especially football and the Atlanta Braves, watching every game that he could.

Joe is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Sullivan, and their three children: daughter Brenda Parsons (Jeff) of Inman, son Eddie "Bo" Sullivan of Inman, and daughter Angela "Angie" Parsons (James) of Inman. He was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren, Madison Deason (Zach) of Moore and Cameron Parsons of Inman. Joe is also survived by his nieces, Cathy Allen and Sharon Sullivan, and nephew, Darrell Fain. He joins in eternal rest his parents, sister Betty Fain, and brother Robert Sullivan, who have preceded him in death. 

A celebration of Joe's life will be held at a later date.

Joe Lee Sullivan will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family, he will be dearly missed.
