Joe Wayne McCarter

Joe Wayne McCarter, 84, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina passed away peacefully on June 14, 2024. Joe was born August 27, 1939, to the late Warren Debbs and Venie Poteat McCarter. 

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Ozell; his daughter, Terri McCarter and his son, Jason McCarter (Shannon); grandchildren, Jessica Richardson, Austin and Thomas Post; great grandchildren, Noah and Addy Richardson; sisters, Martha Fortner and Miriam Morgan, including numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Roger McCarter, Carolyn Horton, and Joyce McGill. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM, Monday, June 17, 2024, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N., Boiling Springs, SC 29316.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 17, 2024, at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4161 SC-9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
