Jo Ann Mcginn

Jo Ann Winters McGinn, 85, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Born April 16, 1937 in Spartanburg, and widow of the late Gayland B. McGinn, she was the daughter of the late Howard J. Winters Sr. and Katherine O’Shields Winters.

Jo Ann was retired from McCall Electrical Contractor, a 1955 graduate of Spartanburg High School and attended Cecil’s Business College. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg.

Survivors are a son, Greg McGinn of Gaffney, SC; a granddaughter, Kristen McGinn-Cobb (Betina); sisters, Linda Tunstall, Beverly McNeely and Debbie Ivey. Along with her husband and parents, Mrs. McGinn was predeceased by brothers, Howard Winters, Jr. and Tommy Winters.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2023 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. David E. Nichols. Visitation will follow the service at graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or to Buford Street United Methodist Church, 120 East Buford Street, Gaffney, SC, 29340.
