Jimmy Lee Greene went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 18, 2026.  Born on March 18, 1940, in Shelby, North Carolina, Jimmy was the son of the late Odus and Margaret Greene. He was raised in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, and later moved to Spartanburg, South Carolina, where he worked for many years as a bread truck driver.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley Greene; his brothers, William Greene, Clyde Greene, and Jake Greene; and his grandson, JT. He is survived by his brother, Joe Greene.

Jimmy was the loving father of Sheila (Mike), Tony (Cheri), and Gary (Linda). He was a proud grandfather to Christopher, Christy, Ashley, and JT, and a cherished great-grandfather to Owen, Maggie, Katie, and Beau.

Jimmy was also blessed to share his life with his wife, Sara Kay Greene. Through this marriage, he gained a loving extended family, including his stepchildren, Patty (Harold), Cindy (Jim), Jerry (Tressa), and Tim, who preceded him in death. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Before his illness, Jimmy was an active church member and a devoted Christian whose faith guided his life. He loved his family deeply and was known for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for those around him.

Jimmy will be remembered as a wonderful daddy, grandpa, and great-grandpa. His family will miss him dearly, but they find comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with loved ones who have gone before him and is resting in the presence of his Savior.
