Jeanette Florence Bishop, 81, of Spartanburg, South Carolina entered her heavenly home on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Jeanette was a lifelong resident of Spartanburg and was of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late George Hood and the late Maggie Fowler Hood. She was also preceded in death by a sister: Geneva Dyke and her husband the late Harold Dyke.

Jeanette was a loving lady that found great joy in her home. At an early age she worked in the cotton mills, but the job she loved the most was being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren brought her great joy and happiness. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Left to cherish her many memories are her son: Richard “Speedy JR” B Bishop; a daughter: Della A Reveles (Tony); one granddaughter: Laura M Waldrop; and one great grandson: Gabriel B Foley; a sister: Helen Scruggs (Charlie); three brothers: James Hood (Louvenia), Junior Hood (Marlan), and Dufay Hood.

The service details will be announced at a later time.

Jeanette will continue to live in the hearts of everyone that had the pleasure of meeting her.
