Janie Bradley Cheatwood

Janie Bradley Cheatwood, 81, of Boiling Springs, SC went home to be with the Lord and her late husband, Richard Cheatwood, of 57 years on June 12, 2024, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born on November 17, 1942, in Rutherfordton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Adelene Bradley. Janie retired from Spartan Undies and the Spartanburg Herald Journal after 40 years as a Paper Carrier and Distribution Manager. She loved her family and the many pets that always seemed to find her; largely due to her selfless spirit that always wanted to take care of those who could not take care of themselves.

She will forever be remembered and loved by her three children, Denise Patterson of Greenville, SC, Joe Cheatwood of Boiling Springs, SC, and Anthony Cheatwood of Chesnee, SC. She is survived by her grandchildren, Kendal Johnson of Greenville, SC, Lee Patterson of Greenville, SC, Anna Patterson of Melbourne, FL, Nathan Cheatwood of Boiling Springs, SC, Kaleb Cheatwood of Boiling Springs,  SC, AJ Cheatwood of Chesnee, SC, and Haley Cheatwood of Gaffney, SC; survived also by her great grandchildren Ryann Renwick of Greenville, SC, Mark and Michael Wood of Fingerville, SC, Raelynn Cheatwood of Chesnee, SC and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter, Janie Marie Cheatwood; sisters, Margaret Miller, Lena Bradley and Judy Adair; brothers, David Bradley and Alan Bradley. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N., Boiling Springs, SC 29316.

Graveside service will be at 2:30 PM, Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Hwy 9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The Rev. Andy Case will be officiating.
