James T. Yarbrough

James T. Yarbrough, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Born on August 10, 1942, in Una, South Carolina. Known as the "tire guy", James dedicated over 40 years of his life to owning and operating Jimmy's Tires in Roebuck. His expertise and service in the tire industry earned him a reputation that endeared him to many in the community.

He is survived by his daughters, Robin Johnson, (Pastor Raymond) and Bridgette Yarbrough. James also leaves behind his son, Jerry Blanchard, (Kimberly); his grandchildren: Nicole Wilson (Jacob), Justin Blanchard, Jayda Blanchard, Delaney McGinn, Tiffany Sherbert (Joel), Kristen Heavner, Kayla Ireland (Austin). He was a proud great-grandfather to 22 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought joy to his life. One remaining brother, Gary Yarbrough. James is predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Lois Enda Blanchard, his parents and his son, Darrell Yarbrough.

James enjoyed gardening, especially the success of his tomato plants. His hands may have been accustomed to the tools of his trade, but they also knew the tender care required to nurture a garden.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Cash.

James T. Yarbrough leaves behind a rich legacy of hard work, love for family, and community spirit. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
