July 23, 1954 – December 9, 2024
Ray was a decorated 30-year veteran and former Colonel of the City of Spartanburg Police Department.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lu (Cheleotis), son, Travis (Jennifer), grandchildren, Chandler and Chloe, step-grandchildren, Christopher and Colton, and brother, Bobby (Tonya).
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Charles Ray Murray, and a granddaughter, Cadence.
Ray’s greatest Joy and Love was his beloved family.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
