James "Jim" Franklin Golden, Jr.

James "Jim" Franklin Golden, Jr., 44, of Spartanburg, SC passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at his home. Born in 1979 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of James Franklin Golden and Sandra Lynn Brown.

Jim was active in the Sports Medicine Program at Boiling Springs High School, where he graduated in 1997. James also loved sports, especially his Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He loved photography, his dogs Sadie and Rocco, and was an avid sportsman, hunting and fishing was his favorite. But most importantly, Jim loved his family and friends.

Survivors include his mother, Sandra Brown of Boiling Springs, SC; his father, James Golden of Pauline, SC; sisters, Kimberly Sisk (Kelly) of Wellford, SC and Angela Kirkwood (Chad) of Gaffney, SC; half-brother, Quentin Golden of Pauline, SC; along with his nieces and nephews, who loved him so; and his uncles, Rick Jones (Karen) of Spartanburg, SC and Jamie Jones (Deborah) of Boiling Springs, SC. He was predeceased by his dad, Charlie Brown; uncles, Roger Jones and John Jones; and his Pa, Sam Golden.

Visitation will be at 12:00 – 12:45 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Sammy Sutton. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
