His impressive career spanned decades as a long-haul truck driver, retiring from Ryder Transportation and Ford Motor Company. Additionally, he was a part-time employee at Benson Dodge Chrysler Jeep. A proud member of the United Auto Workers Association for 12 years and a Teamster for over 20 years, he built strong connections with those he worked alongside, earning their respect and admiration.

A big jokester and prankster, James delighted in creating fun nicknames for his children and grandchildren, always bringing smiles and warmth to those around him.
James enjoyed working on cars, with an extensive knowledge of vehicles that allowed him to help friends and family maintain theirs. He was a frequent visitor at "Golden Corral Restaurant," where he never hesitated to enjoy a meal. In addition, James always bought his lottery scratch-offs and enjoyed going to casinos for a little gambling, where he always seemed to win.
Among his proudest accomplishments was the commitment he shared with his wife, Patsy "Pat" D. Bryson, as they served as foster parents for 10 years, positively impacting the lives of many children during that time.
