Henry Story

Henry Jackson “Jack” Story, 91, of Charleston, SC, and formerly of Cowpens, SC, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at St. Francis Xavier Hospital.   Born September 4, 1931, in Opelika, AL, a son of the late Walter and Eleanor Crawford Story and first married to the late Jane Elizabeth (Penny) Story.

Mr. Story was a graduate Beauregard High School and Auburn University and retired in 1986 from Lockheed Martin as a Mechanical Engineer.  He was a member of Cannons Campground United Methodist Church.  He was a former member of Spartanburg School District 3 Board of Trustees and was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association.

Survivors are his wife, Dorcas “Dot” Holt Story, a son, Louis Story (Cheryl), step-daughter, Terri Austin (Ron) and step-son, Stephen Ashley Holt (Heike);

Grandchildren, Bret Story, Kasey Porter (Chris), Courtney Story, Jay Anderson (Kathy), Bradley Anderson, Mallory Stewart (Eric), and Lauren Austin. Seven Great Grandchildren.  He was predeceased by daughter Terry Teachworth and step-son, David Holt.

Graveside Services 2:00PM, Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC, 29307 conducted by The Rev. Jim Johnston.
