Harold Douglas

Harold Albert Douglas, 72, of Drayton, SC, died Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 16, 1945, in Tucson, AZ, he was the son of the late Harold and Betty Jo Masker Douglas. He was married for 50 years to the late Jackie Louise Durham Douglas. A U. S. Navy veteran, Mr. Douglas retired in 1995 from the SC Highway Patrol after 25 years of service and continued his career working security for Denny's. He was a generous man who loved his family and enjoyed the outdoors. He also loved watching races on Sunday and was an avid fisherman and gun enthusiast. Surviving are his children, Joe Douglas (Sonia) and Jody Osteen (Brian), all of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Samantha Douglas, Garrett Douglas, Chloe Osteen, and Brylee Osteen; sister, Judith Ann Congo of New Port Richey, FL; brother, Billy Jo Douglas of Winter Haven, FL; and his faithful canine companion, Molly. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, John Roy Douglas. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, August 19, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, August 20, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by The Rev. Sammy Sutton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
