Glenva Haddock

Glenva Joyce Newport Haddock, 82, of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at her home. Born December 14, 1933 in Blue Diamond, KY, she was the daughter of the late Adna Francis and Rosalyn Elmeta Manning Newport. Glenva was retired as a seamstress with Butte Knit and a member of Praise Cathedral. Glenva is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Jackie Leon Haddock; daughter, Marisa Haddock Broadhead (Tim) of Spartanburg, SC; three grandchildren, Lauren B. Shealy (Camden); Paige Broadhead and Garrett Broadhead, all of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Anita Parrish (L.D.) of Savannah, GA; Norma Dickson of Tucker, GA; and Marilyn Hind (Tom) of Moore, SC; brother, Don Newport (Marlene) of Rock Hill, SC; and a brother-in-law, Clint Speer, of Dalton, GA. Along with her parents, she was also predeceased by a son, Michael Leon Haddock; a sister, Ruby Speer; and brother-in-law, Joe Dickson. Visitation will be 1:00 - 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Bobby Johnson. Burial will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 429 N.
