Ginger Page Cherup

Ginger Page Cherup, 65, loving wife of Monty Cherup of Lexington, SC, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026. She was born on September 27, 1960, in Circleville, Pickaway County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Andrew David “A.D.” Page, Jr and Johnsie Harrelson Page of Spartanburg, SC.

Ginger was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Clemson University. She was an accountant for the City of Columbia, SC for over 20 years, and was a member of Mt. Horeb Global Methodist Church.

Ginger loved traveling and spending time with her girlfriends. Recently, life slowed down, and she enjoyed spending her free time at the beach or the mountains with her husband. She loved the Clemson Tigers and took every chance she could get to watch them play. Most importantly, she loved being promoted to a “Gigi” and was looking forward to watching her grandchildren grow. Ginger was a loving friend, loyal, kind, and easy to talk to. She loved visiting her parents in Spartanburg and loved being surrounded by family and close friends. Ginger had a loving heart and was the sweetest soul.

Along with her husband and her parents, Ginger is survived by her stepdaughters, Kathryn Griffin (Chase) of Greenville, SC and Sarah French (Dylan) of Spartanburg, SC; her stepson, David Cherup (Sloane) of Columbia, SC; her nephew, Drew Page of Tryon, NC; and was “Gigi” to her two grandsons, Austin Griffin and Grayson French. She was also loved by many aunts and an uncle, as well as numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Andrew “Andy” Page III.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-12:45 pm Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A service to honor God and celebrate Ginger’s beautiful life will follow at 1:00 pm Thursday, in Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Stephen Finch and the Rev. Kristy Wilson. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Horeb Global United Methodist Church, 1205 Old Cherokee Rd, Lexington, SC 29072 or to Spartanburg Global Methodist Church, 1650 Skylyn Drive, #100, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this very difficult time.
