Gerald Sapienza

Gerald "Jerry" Victor Sapienza, Jr., 68, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, November 19, 2017, at his home. Born February 10, 1949, in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Gerald Victor Sapienza, Sr. and Lena P. Trasente Sapienza. A wonderful father and grandfather, Jerry loved trivia, music, Snoopy, and to laugh. He was retired from Rhodia Corporation. Survivors include his daughters, Megan Sapienza, Mallory Sapienza, and Jade Sapienza; step-daughters, Julia Jackson-Waters and Robyn Crosby; granddaughters, Meadow Sapienza-Chaney and Jovie-Cha Sapienza-Chaney; grandson, Mason Cole Hatcher; several nieces and great-nieces and nephews; and his loyal pug, "Jigs". In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Diane Sapienza Schork. Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev.
