Geneva Seay

Geneva Gosnell Seay, 80, of Wellford, SC, died Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 20, 1936, in Inman, SC, she was the daughter of the late Dillard and Lidy Smith Gosnell. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, who trusted in the Lord, Geneva was an active member of Peoples Baptist Church of Greer. She participated in many church activities and was retired from Springs Industries. Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Seay of Wellford, SC, Patricia Callicott (Jackie) of Woodruff, SC, and Harriett Crisp (J. R.) of Pauline, SC; she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Christy Lyn White who met her at the gates of Heaven; also surviving are grandsons, Lamar Callicott (Jessica) of Woodruff, SC and Adam Crisp (Blake) of Pauline, SC; Christy Lyn is survived by her husband John White and his wife, Heather, of Mooresboro, NC; great-grandchildren, Isaac White and Payton White of Mooresboro, NC, Katelyn Callicott and Joseph Callicott of Woodruff, SC; sister, Linda Mathis (Boyce) of Greer, SC; and brothers, Dean Gosnell (Ethel) of Campobello, SC, Joe Gosnell (Suzie) of Wellford, SC, Ricky Gosnell and Steve Gosnell, both of Holly Springs, SC. In addition to her parents and granddaughter, she was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Brown; and brothers, Larry Gosnell, Doc Gosnell, and Mack Gosnell. Graveside visitation will be 1:30-1:55 PM Monday, April 17, 2017, in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, 125 Fort Prince Rd., Wellford, SC 29385 with a graveside service following at 2:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Larry Padgett and the Rev. Sean Gosnell. The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Jackie Callicott.
