Gene Woods, Ii

Gene Donaldson Woods, II, 48, of 553 Thompson Chapel Road, died Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born February 4, 1961, in Memphis, TN, he was the son of Mary Heard Woods of Pauline and the late Gene Donaldson Woods and the husband of Peggy Joyce Irwin Woods. A graduate of Broome High School, he was a self-employed recycling contractor. He was a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and attended Evangel Cathedral. Surviving in addition to his mother and wife is a son, Gene Donaldson "Trey" Woods, III of Spartanburg; a sister, Jan Woods Keith and her husband Jim of Pauline; four step-children; and four nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Dr. B. E. Pettit.
