Frances Louise Odom Whitt

Frances Louise Odom Whitt passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025. She was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late Horace Odom and Edith Odom Strange.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Frances loved browsing and shopping, and especially at Walmart. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild, finding great joy in being surrounded by them. Always keeping busy, Frances enjoyed fixing things and always had a project going.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Glenn Whitt (Angela) of Spartanburg, SC; a granddaughter, Rachel Gonzalez-Howard (Victor) of Spartanburg, SC; a great granddaughter, Zoey Howard of Spartanburg, SC; brother-in-law, Danny Lee Sr., niece, Dana Parris (Rodney), nephews: Danny Lee Jr. and Curtis Blackwood (Debbie); numerous great nephews. Her warm spirit and love for family will be deeply missed.

Frances was predeceased by her husband, Dennis Lee Whitt, sisters, Patsy Lee, Barbara Blackwood; grandson, Michael Whitt; nephews: Gene Blackwood and Scott Blackwood.

A private graveside service will be held for the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in her memory.
