Frances Weldon Hines, age 99, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Spartanburg, SC. Born on Thursday, July 30, 1925, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Henry M. Weldon and Edna Anderson Weldon.

Frances graduated as an Honor Graduate from Spartanburg High School, “Class of 1942,” and furthered her studies at Cecil's Business College.

She was an accomplished professional, having served as a Former District Manager with Avon for many years. Her career also spanned various marketing firms, including Gallagher Medical Research. Frances was deeply committed to her civic engagement, taking an active role in numerous political groups and campaigns that aimed to better her community and uplift those around her.

A devoted member of Westside Baptist Church during her earlier years; she later joined Morningside Baptist Church. Frances was active with the Ruth Sunday School Class as well, the Senior Circle Fellowship at Mary Black.

Frances's zest for life was evident in her love of travel. becoming a world traveler who explored all seven continents and visited over 100 countries. Her adventurous spirit led her to enjoy more than 100 luxurious cruises, accumulating over 1300 sailing days and earning multiple top awards and honors with her preferred cruise line. Frances's experiences not only enriched her own life but also inspired those around her.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Debby Neuse and husband, Raymond, of Spartanburg, SC, and Janice McDonald of North Bergen, NJ. Her caregivers and friends, Allen and Brenda Bussey, provided her with love and support over the years.

A graveside service to honor Frances's life will be held 10:00 am, Monday, May 12, 2025, Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The services will be conducted by The Rev. Eddie Burris.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Spartanburg Soup Kitchen, 136 S. Forest St., Spartanburg, SC, 29306.

She lived a remarkable life, filled with dedication, service, and a spirit of adventure that touched many hearts throughout her community and beyond.
