Frances Mcgill

Frances Morton McGill, 93, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Magnolia Manor-Spartanburg. Born July 26, 1926, in Cabarrus County, Concord, NC, she was the daughter of the late Hoyle Alexander Morton and Matilda Gaskey Morton and widow of George S. McGill. Frances was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and retired from Milliken & Company. Surviving are her grandchildren, Rebecca Funderburk of Spartanburg, SC and Mark Funderburk of Salisbury, NC; and daughters-in-law, Elba Funderburk of Spartanburg, SC and Jane Funderburk of Salisbury, NC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons, Robert V. Funderburk and Keith M. Funderburk; and brother, Ray H. Morton. A memorial service honoring her life will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, October 28, 2019, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 415 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, SC 29302, by The Rev. Mike Shackelford.
