F. Patterson

Frances Annis Cantrell Patterson, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, August 16, 2018, at her home. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was born March 14, 1936, in Spartanburg County, SC, the daughter of the late Elford Fielding Cantrell and Ersell Bush Cantrell and was the widow of Charles Kenneth Patterson. Mrs. Patterson was a woman of strong conviction who loved her Lord and family. She was an exceptional cook and baker (no one ever left her home hungry). Annis was the former accounts manager at Smith-Outz Drug Store at Hillcrest for over 10 years and then worked as a bindery clerk for R. R. Donnelley & Sons for over 20 years. She was of the Methodist faith. Surviving are her sons, Rick Patterson (Jody) of Spartanburg, SC and Chuck Patterson (Angela) of Roebuck, SC; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 PM Monday, August 20, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Home Hospice, PO Box 430, Drayton, SC 29333.
