Evonia Annette “Ann” Landen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother died peacefully at home on November 25, 2025. Ann was born December 15, 1939, in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Albert David Pittman and Lunnie Mae Hightower Pittman.
She married Charles Edward Landen in June 1956. Charles served in the United States Airforce for 28 ½ years and during his service the couple lived in numerous locations including three deployments to Japan. They eventually settled in Lyman, South Carolina where they have been long-term members of Wellford Baptist Church.
Surviving is her loving husband of 69 years, Charles Edward Landen; her children, June Parks (Mike) of Cowpens, Margie Hawkins of Campobello, Sharon Byrum (Buddy) of Duck, NC, Caroline Komko of Buffalo, SC, and Charles Landen, Jr. (Melissa) of Knoxville, TN; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Along with her parents, Ann was predeceased by her two brothers and two sisters.
The family would like to express our deepest appreciation to Brittany Cantrell for her loving care of Ann and Charles over the last few months.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-12:45 pm Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Highway 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. A funeral service to honor Ann’s life will follow at 1:00 pm, in the Chapel, conducted by Mike Stokes. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Highway 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316
